Working Day with the Managing Director

Today, the Chairman and the Managing Director, Joe, set off on a commercial survey for approximately 40 blinds. In a display of true versatility, the Chairman took on the role of driver—drawing upon his superior driving skills—while Joe was appointed navigator, ably assisted by Google Maps.

Despite having an excellent iPhone holder securely fixed to the windscreen, Joe’s “enthusiastic” (and rather large) fingers proved a challenge when trying to fit his phone into it. A brief moment of frustration followed, but, as Chairman, I was able to restore calm and good humour.

Upon arrival, we introduced ourselves to the foreman and began the measuring process. With the Chairman’s extensive experience in blind measurements, I took the lead, while Joe efficiently recorded my instructions. We did have a minor disagreement about where to start, but, as always, sound judgement and experience prevailed, and we quickly reached agreement.

I must say, I am very impressed with how much knowledge Joe has gained about the blind industry over his seven years with us. In addition to managing the accounts, he continues to broaden his practical expertise—a testament to his commitment and dedication.

Well done, Joe.
