Born In Brixton
Born in Brixton, Blindsfitted4u began life as a local curtain shop, rooted in the heart of the community. Those same values now guide our work across London and Surrey, delivering the same personal, customer-first service wherever we go. With decades of experience in the curtain and blind trade, we bring trusted expertise to every home. Still very much a family-run business, our hands-on approach and family ethic drive everything we do, from first conversation to final installation.
Our Journey

1955 - Dennis Sharpes, father to Phil Sharpes set up a curtain shop in Brixton Arcade

1968 - Phil began working alongside his father, giving him a strong foundation in quality craftsmanship and customer service

1995 - Phil joins his cousin's interior design company.

2000 - Blindfitted4u is created with the commitment of convenience and a professional personalised experience.

2018 - Joe Zammit-Lewis, a regular squash opponent and good friend of Phil Sharpes, joins Blindsfitted4u taking the company from a Sole Trader to a LTD company whilst overseeing a change in brand and operations.

2021 - As the business continued to expand, motivation was there to drive the business forward a decision was agreed to bring Gary Butler into the company full time focusing on sales and installation, bringing over 25 years of experience.

2023 - With continued growth, Daniel, Joe’s son joins the team who is shortly followed by Gary’s son, Gary Jnr and in-house Electrician Dean Walton.
